Ready now; Shaping tomorrow, - Sun, 22 Apr 2018 PST
On April 23, America’s Army Reserve will celebrate 110 years of history in service to the Army and the Nation. This Ready Force serves around our world with units stationed right in our backyard at Fairchild Air Force Base. What began in 1908 as a tiny corps of medical professionals held in readiness for service is today the Army’s global operational reserve force – meeting high mission demands, generating forces to support Army commitments worldwide, and providing predictable capabilities to the Army and our global Combatant Commands. I was wondering, if I could get suggestions for some jobs a 16 year old can take that'll minimize/have to deal with no people? As, personally I want to do janitorial work just long enough before I try shooting for an intern spot with the job I want. Its minimum people. If I get retail or restaurant jobs Id likely be fired as Id sock the snitty customers and hit jail for assault. So to avoid that, I want a job where I have to deal with less people (to be continued in next part) - Sun
(Sun here) I dont want to do anything online, as its too much a mess and I dont have any skills, other than maybe researching activities on religious things, the LGBT community, the gender community (like those that are agender, bigender, ect), serial killers, abuser stories and basic disorders in the DSM. That, wouldnt work for me as one, Ive tried to do an advice blog and no one came to the bloody thing so I shut it down. (to be continued again here)
(Sun here) and I cant do janitorial work most likely, as places prefer to have those that are 18+ do it, so they dont end up liable if something goes wrong. But I want a job that Im not going to likely sock someone and if its with an insane amount of people (like retail or food) Im going to sock at least one bad customer if not more.
Hello, love
I’ve worked both retail and restaurants, and I can definitely tell you that I’ve wanted to lash out at quite a few customers lol. You definitely have to have a lot of patience and restraint, and it’s good that you recognize that those types of jobs wouldn’t be good for you! Here are some other jobs that you could get that wouldn’t really deal with people all of that much:
dog walker / dog sitter
working at an animal shelter / vet place / barn / anything with animals
work at Target / Walmart / any store in the back room, doing inventory and stock
landscaping / mowing people’s lawns / gardening
lifeguard (you don’t have to talk to people much, just sit there and watch to make sure everything is okay)
library (put away books)
mail boy / mail girl (if they still have those in your area)
security guard (my boyfriend was a security guard at six flags)
dishwasher at a restaurant
busser at a restaurant (you don’t have to talk to people much, just ask if you can take their plates away for them)
data entry clerk (you can read more about this here)
cleaning jobs like maid or personal house cleaner
personal care assistant - you basically go and help an elderly person (usually the same person) clean their house, cook for them, take them grocery shopping etc. You'd just have to interact with that one elderly person and that's it.
bagging groceries (some social interaction but not a lot)
Those are the ones I could come up with off the top of my head. I really suggest going on craigslist and searching for jobs in your area that appeal to you!
If anybody else has any suggestions, please send them in.
