I love Eldwin. Thinking of a group captivity situation with his friends or allies or just a stranger who isn't an asshole, where he is already in a very bad state already he's already weak and injured, he really needs a break to recover - and then whumper comes to take him out again, and someone well-meaning tries to sacrifice themselves instead, "take me instead, I can take it-"
And then Eldwin, half-dead and who really cannot take much more, suddenly has a lot more energy, fuck you, I can take it, and basically walks into whumpers arms and this is why he almost dies a lot
#Always has something to prove#That he's the strongest. The most reliable. The one capable of protecting others. Who never needs protecting himself.#This is a big deal for Eldwin actually. He needs to be the Best.
