Well I have no clue why he’s sulking as I did not watch this episode but without context, he’s bitter still and he’s wallowing.

This is the second time he’s referred to Clarke as Wanheda. His tone suggests he’s envious of her. He tells her he doesn’t need her help. She nods and looks down but stays. She accepts this. She’s okay with her people constantly berating her and telling her her services are not required. She stays because she believes She deserves this treatment. He then immediately starts talking about what is bothering him after having just told her he does not need her. This is obviously contradictory behavior. Clarke sympathizes with him and attempts to reassure him. She cares. She then begins to placate him. He cries. She’s hurt by his pain. She continues to try to encourage him. I’m not sure why she’s doing it. It may be a combination of genuinely caring about his hurt feelings and needing him to be strong so that he can keep his head in the game so that they may accomplish what needs to be done. She offers a hug for comfort.

This is so very much more to him. He grips the back of her neck, holding it like a life line. He turns his nose into her hair, breathing her in. Clarke’s face tells me it feels good to have someone hug her. She needed that hug. Also she looks relieved that he has finally bestowed his forgives upon her (vomit).
