Nina you think that if Ryan doesn't believe anymore the show may end soon? Some people have been talking so much about it and after he said he now prefers True Crime... I'm scared :(
I’m sorry some comments in the fandom and what the boys have been joking about in some interviews are making you feel anxious, but I’m gonna tell you something– it will end one day, but I don’t think it’s coming soon, to be honest. Even with the new format of long hiatus and two seasons a year, I think this was made to avoid overworking, get better production work and probably avoid getting tired of it, which is a good thing.
I do believe Ryan is telling the truth when he says it’s not that he doesn’t believe anymore, it’s just that he is seeing the reality of how he is not going to get all the proof in the world for going to one place one night for a few hours. It’s almost impossible to have the ‘luck’ to encounter something just like that. Anyone would get tired and frustrated, but the belief is there.
To be honest, I’m kinda tired of the way people, specially skeptics, keep questioning Ryan and making sharp comments about his beliefs because these people don’t stop to think about how this causes anxiety to many people and a strange tension between us fans. Like, why would you do that? Like, the entire freakin’ premise of the show is believer and skeptic sit down/travel around and tell each other off while trying to see if shit is real or not.
So these people wanting so hard for Ryan to stop believing, I… don’t know why they want that for. Is it a win or something? Because it would be killing the show, so if having this ‘win’ in spite of the show is so important to them, maybe they aren’t really fans and maybe you shouldn’t be listening to them.
Anyway, if this is also you suddenly thought because of that headcanon thingy I did the other day, I want you to know it’s not real, and it’s not actually my opinion. That was fiction, a plot bunny for a fictional work that does not reflect the reality of things, these people and their work. It’s not real, and you have nothing to worry about.
Enjoy the show, enjoy the boys’ work, your fandom experience, don’t let anything and anyone else ruin it for you, don’t listen to alarmists and assholes. You don’t need that.
Everything is okay.
