Well considering how much more often I tag my posts as Frost and sometimes Hit and absolutely sobbed when he died…
Nah jk, it’s my boy Frost.
I mean Hit is a really interesting character, he’s definitely in my top 5. The stories we would be able to tell and how much there would be to his backstory is overwhelming. I think what I like more about him was his built up. Most people saw Jiren and thought “the new Hit.” Well no.
Ya see, Jiren was built up. Everyone was expecting him. “This is the mortal that beat a god,” “he’s so mysterious, he’s just standing there.” Hit had no build up whatsoever. His appearance and power was a real surprise to both the characters in story and the audience. With only a few glances back and forward through his first appearance back in the Champa arc, it was clear the characters were curious about him and so were we. And he actually showed his power to continue making his silent self interesting (taking out Frost with a technique that no one had any absolutely idea what it was and theories began going around until it was revealed it was Time-Skip). And that was what made him so interesting.
FROST on the other hand… Despite everything, I absolutely love what a complex character he is. And I usually never notice that in characters, not even in my favorite franchises. But he’s so… ugh, I can’t explain it.
But to not take up so much space here, basically,He’s so sneaky and unpredictable, it makes his character so fun,He actually uses his intelligent to fightHe was a valuable team playerHe COULD be a team player, he’s prideful but didn’t struggle or whine about teaming up with someone else,
There’s so much going into this character, and more than half isn’t even ‘speculation,’ it can be back up by the same source.
I enjoy his personality and quirks so much. He’s not a rehashed Frieza, he’s not a cheap copy, he’s not a Frieza clone, he was actually interesting as a stand alone character.
I only wished Toei could of seen it, too.
