Hate the feeling of being caught between a rock and a hard place when it comes to seeing someone else's paranoid reading* of a work, written without the self-awareness that it is a paranoid reading. Because like. I understand the bias you approach this work from. Your experiences are valid. You are making insights I wouldn't have and that in and of itself is a valuable contribution. But you are deliberately reading this text with one eye closed and telling me that the object is 15 meters to the left and that it could potentially cause harm to people walking in its path and like. Yeah that's true. If you close one eye, which probably isn't intended, unless the guy who put the object there also had one eye closed, which I can't verify, and speculating on the status of the guy's eye ranges all the way from irrelevant to somewhat valuable to downright disrespectful. And then you have to wrestle with whether or not you don't believe them because they closed one eye or whether or not you don't believe because you don't care whether or not people get hurt walking directly into this object. And then I put my head in my hands.
