Summary: “What's that?” “An invitation to Jester's art gallery. The exhibit is entitled 'A View of the Gods.'” Essek turns to Caleb, tilting the card in his hand in a way that Caleb can see it, a brief letter unfolded beneath it. There's an odd expression on Essek's face. “She says she painted the Luxon.”

Summary: “Ah,” Essek laughs softly, placing his bundle of parchment on a desk next to a sleeping Siamese and then crouching down before Frumpkin. “Another one, then?” He holds out a finger towards the wriggling kitten, who pauses and cautiously sniffs the proffered hand. “Where did you find this one?”

“One of Lucifer's Crypts.”

 “... Why?”

“Because my brother is—w-was—an ass.”

 “Let me guess, he took something of yours.”

Michael pauses in his search, hands stuttering to a halt, the radiance in his eyes flickering out. He glances back towards the entrance where Adam is leaning just shy of spiderwebs and centuries of dust and decay.

“He took a lot of things of mine,” Michael answers hesitantly, “but... no. He... He took something of yours.”

Summary: Verin sits as still as he can be as a gaggle of small children climb over him, all the while staring with mild panic across the way at his brother. His brother who is trying to hide a bubbled laughter behind the back of his hand pressed to his mouth.
