After Dazai leaves Oda's side, somehow Yosano stumbles upon the building where Oda is near death (Dazai left thinking Oda had his last breath but really his breathing only became incredibly weak and hard to tell that he was still breathing). Yosano, who can't help herself, then heals Oda and takes him under her care until he's fully healed.

After waking up in the hospital Oda begins to wonder how Yosano saved him. And then…. in the back of his mind lays the memories of what he endured.
