I feel it's extremely crucial to Motobe and L.L.'s relationship that neither of them communicates in terms of... How they view the other. Like their feelings are strong, and they're very close, and when they're together the love and passion blooms, but there's no moment of talking like So What Are We. Are we fuck buddies, are we boyfriends, are we lovers? Is this private, can we be seen in public? Can I hold your hand outside? What about kissing you? Am I something you're not ashamed of showing, or is this meant to be just for us? How close is too close, what is allowed, what's too far? Etc.
Motobe doesn't think about it much because he has other worries in mind (like the art of war lol) and L.L. avoids thinking of it because they have ocd and spiral and get scared way too easily. And so they exist in this weird gay thing state where the love is so real but nobody can give it a name.
