as chapter 1000 i am so glad it was such an iconic and memorable one i mean people are absolutely gonna be going back over this one for some time...and where the hell does the story go from here? this is like the most absolute win a main character group has had without it being the ending and we're only on chapter 40??? all of howler's goons are dead, casualties are minimal, police suspicion is nonextistent(?), his stand was revealed, and most of all the driving forces for basically the whole part so far are GONE. lava rock disintegrated, land deed acquired. the anticipation for this next chapter is gonna kill me...2026 might be a crazy good year for part 9.
obviously i think howler might have something up his sleeve, but i wouldn't put it past him to just be giving over the land as a "it's your problem now" after he found out there was presidential level investigation on his ass. curious how the crew will solve this one

Me remembering how the three dragons are literally shown in the prequel manga. Which means they (in particular, Lanayru who I am talking about) have probably met First. He ALSO learned of First’s death through Hylia herself. And since the past in skyward sword is the era of Hylia, Lanayru fell ill either during this or shortly after. Then when Sky came to save his life he realized how similar Sky was to First (now was the song of the hero originally for First? food for thought). Fast forward again to Linked Universe and suppose First ends up in LU and the chain goes to see Lanayru, who will recognize First and be literally fucking confused because what the fuck this bitch died 2000 years ago how is he even here what- (now did first get resurrected or was it time travel shit who knows). And yes I know the prequel manga isn’t canon, but like this concept where LANAYRU AND FIRST KNEW EACH OTHER AND THEY REUNITE DURING LU jojo put first in lu right meow
