LMFAOO WELL. IF YOU INSIST...

Long ass ramble rn if I ever say "I'll keep it short" when I talk about my OCs don't listen to me ever. I have not proofread this so forgive any spelling errors or anything 💀

Basically her full name is Avery Rosen, and she is a bigass rippeddd dragon woman who spent her time working to help take down and investigate (typically small) violent crime groups. She used to do it as her job, but eventually retired early because crime rates went down drastically after new laws were introduced so she just became like. A mechanic instead.

She spends most of her time in the main story looking into a death cult of people who take part in violent rituals from Ye Olden Days, as they believed it could bestow them with divine powers and even change their 'fates' (these rituals have very much been outlawed in the modern day however).

As she's investigating aforementioned cult, she meets Ahchah (appendicitis dog man) who she absolutely haaaates. Because not only is he killing people (allegedly, she still had to prove it), but he's also a royal. Well, was. (He was kinda exiled).

Over the course of the story they develop a kind of bond as Avery realises that he's being very much manipulated and blackmailed by the cult, and Ahchah realises that she actually does care about helping people instead of just punishing bad people for the sake of "justice".

Ahchah decides to try and get her to join the cult because he doesn't want to end up having to sacrifice her for their cause, but Avery is trying to coax him out of it, which verrryyyy much strains their aforementioned bond and makes her job SO much harder.

The leader of the cult, a woman called Akari, knows that Avery is investigating them and thinks "oh absolutely NOT" and begins making up shit about her to get Ahchah to hate her again. And so Ahchah does attempt to do a ritual sacrifice with her (against his will really), but Avery manages to incapacitate him easy style (she could snap that man like a twig if she so desired) and get out.

At this point the story focuses a lot more on the other characters, but meanwhile she's working with Ahchah's brother in order to find a better way to take down the cult from the inside. Eventually they do manage to coax Ahchah out, but upon realising he's been "forsaken" by his god, he completely snaps and turns against both Avery + his brother AND the cult. He then attempts to kill his brother, but in a very brief moment of clarity he ends up shooting himself instead (but survives).

And so Avery realises that from now on she really does not want a bar of any of this stuff anymore because she is understandably VERY traumatised after the entire ordeal. But of course she can't help herself, and after a little while when she's needed again she decides that it's worth the risk for the greater good of the people. And this is the part of the story I'm still developing it's all a VERY big WIP at this point in time teehee
