6. After nursing you back to health, thinking you were on your death bed.

"... Haru-chan," Erika whispered, smoothing out the plush white comforter that laid on top of her, all the way up to her chest. 

It felt strange to be in a nice place like this; like she did not deserve it. It was more open than her own apartment and the atmosphere was lighter; like there were fewer cares, but that was easy when there was a person in one's presence that took so many cares upon himself.

Even if he did not always seem that way.

"Please wait?" she asked, pushing herself higher up onto the pillows and clenching her arm around her bruised rib cage. At this point she should survive, whatever damage she had been taken had, thankfully, been cared for by the watchful eyes of a very good friend. 

Before the brunette could leave the room she waved a hand at him to bring him closer, eyes drooping down and looking almost... unsure. "Haru-chan... I know you're probably gonna think that it's not real... that it's that syndrome thing. And I know that it's the last thing that you need, and you don't even have to say anything back. When I'm done talking you can leave the room, that's okay, I don't mind."
