How would Ilya feel about a darling that age regresses??

Ooh, interesting idea. I assume they age regress every year? In which case, they won’t live long enough to grow any younger. Ilya doesn’t keep his darlings for long, maybe a few months max, and even that’s rare in itself.

For concept’s sake though, if they age regress at a faster rate and he’s aware of it, he’d feel conflicted. On one hand, he’s reminded that they were once a child, the very thing he wants to protect. On the other, they aren’t a child right now, just like he isn’t a child right now. While he’d find their ability interesting, it won’t matter much in the end. They’ll still die, only it’ll be at his hands rather than Death’s.

i love hearing abt Ilya so much because i LOVE how he thinks.. like its so interesting for a character to be an irredeemable hypocritical asshole but like. maybe u also kinda like him? i feel like if he appeared in some show or something he would definitely be a fan favorite lol

oh my god thank you 🥺 that’s the best compliment any oc creator can get!! he’s definitely an interesting character because despite all his shortcomings and twisted way of thinking, he isn’t completely horrid. he has qualities most would find attractive, the only thing is he takes them to extreme levels (as any yandere does, really.) my favorite is his love and desire for protecting children; it’s admirable really, especially when he goes around hunting people who upload child content on the dark web.
