Okay, but figuring out how these characters fit into this universe and story might be the most challenging thing Iāve done...
He understood certain things to be fact. He knew that there were certain laws that had to be obeyed and other laws that were mutable, able to be broken with enough pressure set upon them. He also understand that unlike a muggle's science, which held energy as the power that drove everything, no matter how small or large, magic was the force of the soul as it applied itself to the energy and bent it in a way that no science could touch, and the strength of the soul was aided by the strength of the mind. Some thought of time as a open, closed, single or multiple. What it boiled down to, was that through one reason or another, the Ministry of Magic (and may he point out that anything whose acronym was MoM was inherently problematic, the government should not be motherly but he digressed), thought to pull him, one of the founding fathers, forward in time. Backwards was a problem. Who knew what forward would do? And what could be the harm, really? He had fulfilled his destiny, the rest... well, that was what they were curious about.
But, it meant that he was outside of his time, no longer the ant upon the line, or a thread set aside, or a thread in the larger tapestry. He wasn't the weaver, just - apart. It meant that as he sat in Hogsmeade and listened to people speak, using words so foreign that he swore they were speaking in a foreign language, all he could do is keep to himself and watch, wondering where the world had gone wrong.

The fragmets of sentences that slipped his lips didn't make sense, though one could infer what he meant, but he really did't appreciate the...comments he was getting about his costume. He would get his girlfriend back for this...that or she had better come out wearing something either jsut as humiliating or something he liked. "Just take the candy..." Seeing Azula wasn't always the most pleasant, but it seemed to be worse now when he was obligated to give her candy, even after she insulted him.
