hm i think peter would feel really shocked, guilty, and upset with himself, but he wouldn’t chase after her that day. he would marinate in his own feelings for a few days before gathering up the courage to go to austin’s diner and try to talk to her. unfortunately for him, i don’t see our girl y/n giving him the time of day lmao she’d be like “i showed you my heart and you just dipped and got with another girl? boy bye you gonna need to try a lot harder to get a conversation from me” and we would love to see it

yeah like that’s part of why i don’t want to write a sequel, bc i feel like there’s not much i can do to give them a happy ending (which is what y’all want in a part two lmao) given the contents of the first part. y/n was hurt so badly by peter, who we know as readers why he did what he did, but she doesn’t, and it would make little to no sense for her character, a strong, takes no shit, independent woman, to forgive him or take him back after he abandoned her, which is exactly what she was scared would happen when she let him into her life.
