I wanted to look up something in the ROTS script and the first Google alert (the IMSDb website) led me to a script with extra stuff during Anakin and Obi-wan's goodbye scene before Obi-wan heads off to Utapau) where Anakin says that Obi-Wan's friendship means everything to him (ahhhh) and they have really great banter?? Do you know if this was in an earlier version of the script??
so this is the revenge of the sith novelization and comic, which were both written based on the script. so if the line is here, i have to assume it was in a draft. i’m not sure if it was filmed and cut or if it was revised out, but judging based off these it was definitely in the script at one point. i think lucas really wanted to make sure the audience understand how fucked it was that they fought lol and how far anakin had fallen, how much he changed, and how it destroyed everything that meant so much to him before.
