Daryl usually woke up around dawn. He learned when he was a child that it was better to be out of the house before his father got up. It developed into a habit that was very helpful in the apocalypse when you had to get as much done as possible before sunset. Today, however, he wanted nothing more than to stay in bed with the man he loved. He'd never admit it, but he loved the feeling of Paul’s chest against his back and his arms wrapped around him, it made the bowman feel safe and wanted. It didn’t take long before he felt restless, so without distrubing Paul, he carefully slipped out of bed. He knew no one else would be awake right now and, thanks to the recent trade with Hilltop, he didn’t have to hunt, so decided to take a quick shower. After, he headed into the kitchen to make a cup of coffee. Paul must have woken up sometime during his shower, because he saw Paul through the window, practicing his ninja stuff in their backyard. He’s seen how well Paul faught, but Daryl didn’t need to use any of that, he’s been in plenty of fights before and gotten by just fine. He made a cup for Paul and went outside to smoke, giving the other a small smile when he saw him. Placing both cups on the small patio table, he sat down in one of the chairs and lit a cigarette. 

“You get ‘em yet, Ninja Master?” Daryl teased playfully, taking a drag of his cigarette.
