My idea is in the first few chapters it features all the characters so you can get a taste of who you like, and to also further the plot.

Exactly like what happens in the actual Arcana game, after five chapters the player is able to pick a route which allows them to romance a character of their liking. But the Arcana AU plays along to the plot of each Darksiders game, so certain characters aren’t available in each game (e.g. War is not in DS2 or DS3)

There are two alternate endings for each character: True and Alternate. Your choices shape the outcome of the story. (Obviously sticking to the original DS plot is the true ending)

Maybe some action can be incorporated into the game if one wants to not only read. Maybe like fighting enemies with your character, or mini games you can play in or outside the story (think Heart Hunter).

The idea of having the options characters do speak if your wanting a full experience.

Maybe even incorporating the Apocalypse Survivors as extra characters is a strong thought.

Maybe the player is an Apocalypse Survivor themself? (Maybe the people who actually made their AS can just select their character and just play while those who haven’t can design themselves on the game.)
