The Trevelyans are nobility from Ostwick, a city-state on the southern coast of the Free Marches. It is an old and distinguished family, in good standing among its peers, and with strong ties to the Chantry. Once, Lord Arthur Trevelyan was the eldest son of this distinguished family, until his magic manifested at age six and he was taken to the Ostwick Circle of Magi. A sedate place, the Ostwick Circle did not decide in favour of either templars or mages, Arthur, as the Circle's former First Enchanter, attended the Conclave as the head of his Circle's delegation, hoping that his noble position and former rank would provide protection for his fellow mages while negotiations continued.
