Terrible things have hit the Creek i was thinking about how much I hate what RTD did with Mel while I was in the shower and I am now constructing ANOTHER AU that lives in my brain for the 60th anniversary specials primarily and extending all the way to The Reality War
#creek's ramblings#i will be thinking about this for the foreseeable future#anyways imagine if we took a life of crime type beat#or a quantum possibility engine type beay#*beat#and mel owes a debt to whoever The Boss is#and she is ordered to help the Meep escape#BUT she covertly signals to the tardis to drag the doctor to earth because if anyone can stop this its him#things happen mostly as they did except mel is there with shirley and shes acting kind of shifty and does some tiny sabotage#against both sides#fourteen figures it out in the end#and is very upset about it#because mel is still not being honest with him which is not good#wild blue yonder happens about the same#the giggle involves mel more and shes trying to make it up to everyone#but shes blamed for the toymaker#and then when he has the galvanic beam he tries to shoot mel#but of course the doctor takes the hit#blah blah blah this is just about mel the rest can stay the same i guess#anyways shes forgiven but the doctor does ask her why she came back to earth#and she unconvincingly says it was time to come home so on so forth#(she was actually there to lay low and wait for her debt to vanish until The Boss found her)#ANYWAYS#reluctant mel being the architect of whatever The Boss's scheme is#also because i am a melrani fan mel and the rani get to have a longer fight#in which it is revealed mel has been searching for someone for the boss#that someone being the rani#something something something mel gets to visit the bone palace and the omega bullshit doesnt happen#or the stupid baby plot#she DOES have to stop belinda from shooting the rani in the face though
