February 23, 2187 - An Apple A Day
"The AI core reminds me of home." Issa commented to his Quarian shipmate as he idly strolled around the medical bay. "I mean, not that we had AI cores on the Rayya, but the machinery humming in there is nice. It's like the engines of the ship running. It makes it feel a little homey."Β
Truthfully, the medical bay was much larger than the 12 x 12 space that Issa had called home on the Rayya, and it was even larger than the apartment that he rented on the Citadel in the wards, which had allowed him a marginally easy commute to Huerta Memorial. Certainly, the Normandy was better furnished than the apartment, though he could do without the wires everywhere.Β
"Tali'Zorah," Issa addressed the younger Quarian formally, with given and clan name, as a sign of respect. She was an admiral now, not just some young girl about to embark on her pilgrimage. Familiarity would be considered quite rude in the eyes of the Admiralty if he went around calling her 'Tali.'Β
"I assume that it was your recommendation that got me onto this ship, so I suppose I should thank you somehow." He finished his sentence, coming to stop in front of the purple-clothed woman. "I'm in your debt, so anything you could want, you should ask for while I'm capable of doing something about it."
