the dragon age: inquisiton saga (I versus Fate?)
once upon a time in the summer of 2015 (aka january) i, a simply girl, downloaded dragon age inquisiton. i had no idea how it would change my life. gone were the summer days where i didn't spend 6 hours straight kicking butt and taking names as Attolia the First, my badass mage. With cheekbones that could slice through glass, shaved hair on the sides and sea green eyes, I went on to conquer a seriously ridiculous amount of places and missions as well as Cullen's heart. (HE'S JUST 2 CUTE) And then one day, I bounded up the stairs, excited, my brother tells me dragon age got deleted when he wiped the PC (it had to be done). I was pissed and sad. I had put a good 10+ hours in that game. I mourned. But alas, it was time for school again and there was no time to start anew. Plus, I was too disheartened. I couldn't see myself replaying the countless missions. I put my dream away and continued.Â
The urge to play struck up then and there. Finally, one day, I was ready to play again. It was then I learned that the illegal versions of Dragon Age (i live in south america, you think ive ever bought a video game???) were gone. Disappeared. Like Attolia the First. Simply gone. I tried to forget about it. Put it behind me. But images kept haunting me. All that land conquered. Paralyzing demons. Meeting Cullen in the barracks. Kicking ass and taking names. It was in late July, mere days before school was about to start (my most important year of school, my senior year) that it occurred to me to try once more. I found a torrent and downloaded it. I daren't let myself hope. And yet, in half an hour, Dragon Age: Inquisiton was installed and my brother yelled as I shook him back and forth in joy. Of course, it's not all fun. I am replaying the first couple hours and it kills me because I got so far. But I want to know what happens. There;s so much left.Â
Then this evening, I get on to play. And what happens? The game lags. Like crazy. I can barely move. It's 3 am and I've decided to turn in for the night. Give the PC a time to think about what it's done. All I know is that I will never stop trying. I will finish this fucking game and I will see it to the end with Attolia the Second, another badass mage.Â
