So I made those Karkitty horns, and the subject of my / d-H's niece's birthday came up and somehow I ended up deciding on making the adorable 4-year-old-to-be some troll horns! I asked her mom what kind she would like, but her answer (basically, "something elegantly twirly and complex") isn't really something do-able when keeping in mind that they are only string-based horns, not headband horns, and will be handled by a rather carefree little wriggler. I'm thinking about what I, at that age, would be able to handle, and complex delicate horny headgear is not in that category.
Anyways, like any good Homestuck aunt, I immediately began thinking about which troll's what kind of horns to make for her. For a while, I was thinking something Aradia-like, since that would be sturdy and elegant, but as far as string-attachable goes, big ol' ram horns are kinda a "no".
So then I thought, "Well, she's basically all kinds of badass, but also into princesses, especially Ariel, so why not Feferi?"
And then I was like, "No, wait, why don't I just look up her friggin' zodiac??"
Turns out, Feferi it is. She is a Pisces. I am making tiny adorable Feferi horns. I am making this happen.
Except, I should probably not paint them not candy-corn colours... Because if I did it Homestuck, I would secretly feel like a shitty aunt for pushing my fandom onto an unsuspecting wriggler like a crack-pushing alley dweller. Not to mention my matesprit would totally call me out on it. But he is just looking out for his niece's well-being, so I really cannot blame him at all!
