i can't stop thinking about 2.05 being so important to the portrayal of not only armand but also devil's minion in the show. it's the real, raw memory, not some embellished version armand fed to louis (not sure how much of their paris times was edited, but i feel like armand would touch it up here and there).
it's a glimpse of armand's true nature that he's desperately (?) trying to hide, and his ruthlessness towards daniel is so telling when you compare the dynamics in 2.05 and the entirety of s2, especially the first few episodes, where armand is basically glowing. like. the dude can't stop smiling the entire first episode, devouring daniel with his eyes when his husband is right there. insane behaviour if you ask me
not really going anywhere with this, i just wanted to appreciate the fantastic storytelling, which makes dm (at least for me) even more compelling. so refreshing when writers don't take you for a fool and let you think for yourself.
