concept: a decorating/fashion/food competition show starring only amazing queer people where every week you get a theme and see who can host the most fabulous halloween party, titled “scream, queens!”
(everyone becomes friends and eliminated cast members are party guests, this is more christine mcconnell meets bake-off in my head than halloween wars, where everyone hates each other every year for some reason.)
“That’s like a Scooby-Doo burger there, that, innit?”
AND WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT, PAUL HOLLYWOOD?
HOW did no one tell me that ALL-TIME BAKING DREAMBOAT TAMAL RAY returned to GBBO for the New Year’s Day Bake Off last week??? He looks Soft and Chubby and Wonderful.
I love Kim-Joy’s tuile technique of running past the hot pan and timidly throwing some batter in like she’s taming a poisonous angry snake as she flees.

IF ANYTHING BAD EVER HAPPENS TO RAHUL I WILL BE VERY UPSET
Honestly, I think my favorite part of Making It is the gag where they pretend at the very end like all of the eliminated contestants just move into the beautiful countryside home with Nick and Amy and eventually the whole show will live together in a happy puppy-pile of supportiveness and friendship. Because like THAT IS ALL ANYONE EVER WANTS FOR THE CONTESTANTS OF GBBO, and it’s really obvious that Amy Poehler was like “It breaks my HEART that the GBBO cast don’t get to live in the tent with Mel and Sue and Mary Berry and each other for the rest of their lives, so WE’RE GONNA LET PEOPLE PRETEND WE’RE DOING THAT FOR THESE MAKERS.” Nice Pretends are nice.
Ruby in those glasses this week 😍
