               oh   it   must   be   nice,   to   be   a   daywalker,   to   feed   endlessly   without   anyone   noticing.      the   guide   would   love   to   be   able   to   do   that,   unfortunately   she   was   not   blessed   with   energy   vampire   skills.      ❝   ugh   let   me   tell   you,   when   i   was   in   charge   of   assisting   the   council,   there   would   be   so   many   random   people   that   just   stumbled   upon   the   secret   lair.      they   were   not   interesting   either,   so   they   were   obviously   taken   prisoner   and   fed   to   the   council   members.      there   was   also   one   time   that   i   did   find   myself   in   a   boring   conversation   at   the   night   market.      my   patience   or   lack   thereof   got   the   better   of   me   and   i   killed   someones   familiar.      that   was   not   a   fun   conversation   with   their   master.   ❞

          it’s then that she turns  almost dramatically, as she tries to look back at herself.  her neck can’t stretch that far, and there is no mirror handy.  ❛ guess i have to take your word for it ! ❜  she appreciates any compliment thrown her way, especially by attractive women.  ❛ guess that’s one thing this shitty world is good for.  you have to get off your ass and in the process, you get super toned.  or in the case of someone like daryl, super buff. ❜  then again, she didn’t know what he looked like at the start of all this.  maybe he was already buff when all this started.

               ❝   w-we’re   sorrys,   precious.   ❞      smeagol   cowers   further   into   the   dark   crevice,   trying   to   avoid   detection.      they   had   felt   the   precious   near,   had   seen   the   company   traveling.      smeagol   will   never   forget   the   tricksy   hobbitses   that   took   the   precious   from   them,   and   that   is   why   they   followed.      there   were   hobbitses   in   that   group   of   nine,   and   one   of   them   had   the   ring.      so   began   their   journey   of   following,   lingering   back   enough   so   that   they   could   not   be   seen   by   any   of   the   bigger   folk.      but   as   they   climbed   the   mountain,   smeagol’s   foot   slipped   which   had   caused   him   to   make   a   screeching   sound.      that   is   when   gollum   spoke   up   and   scolded   him.      ❝   we   will   be   more   careful,   we   wills.   ❞

               ❝   you   know,   surprisingly   enough   preserving   the   offending   blade   was   not   on   my   list   of   priorities.   ❞      it   was   a   superficial   stab   at   best.      well,   to   him   anyway.      any   stab   wound   that   didn’t   require   surgical   intervention   beyond   stitches   was   considered   superficial   to   the   supervisory   agent.      ❝   it’s   probably   been   put   into   evidence.      maybe   once   it   all   goes   to   trial   and   is   done   with,   you   can   have   the   knife   then.      i   wouldn’t   keep   my   hopes   up   about   it.   ❞

               kind   of   seemed   like   no   matter   what   donna   was   going   to   spiral.      okay,   well   that’s   what   friends   are   for   right?      to   help   with   that   spiral.      ❝   before   you   go   off   and   do   something   crazy,   let’s   just   take   a   breath   and   think,   yeah?   ❞      if   they   could   talk   through   some   options   then   maybe   donna   could   walk   into   this   with   her   head   held   high.      ❝   so   all   three   just   happened   upon   this   island   by   chance…      i’ll   be   honest,   i’m   not   buying   it,   but   that’s   not   the   point.      you   don’t   want   to   see   them?      or   do   you?      need   to   know   which   way   you’re   leaning   before   we   figure   out   a   plan.   ❞
