We have always thought I've had a cluster of selective mutism, social anxiety, panic disorder, depression, sensory anxiety, and ADHD. I think I might actually be autistic, but I wanted to ask your input since you've clearly studied it a lot, and you also have experience with self-diagnosis, which I've never done before and am feeling uncertain about.
Are you the same anon as before, or a different one?
Not a big deal either way; I just want to know how many people I’m talking too.
To be honest, I haven’t ‘studied it a lot’. I mean, I’m comfortable enough in my knowledge to diagnose myself, but please don’t ever take my advice without a grain of salt. I’m just a girl. There’s a lot I don’t know.
That said, it does sound like that sort of cluster could be a misreading of autism. Selective mutism, social anxiety, and sensory anxiety especially.
I’ve linked to this a few times, so you might have seen it already. But it was incredibly helpful when I was in the process of self-diagnosing, so I hope it can help you as well.
