âWhy did we think we could solve this?â Papers were littered across Ollieâs coffee table, filled with all the details he knew about VIGILANTE. He and Delia hadnât solved a damn thing about who might be behind the organization. All their investigation had accomplished was giving him a headache. Flopping back against the couch, Ollie scrubbed his face with his hands, then brandished his hand toward the candles around the room so that they roared to life. Maybe a nice smell would melt away his headache.
âThis is pointless. All of it. Theyâve got us in a corner. We canât figure out who they are, and we canât lead our covens in peace until itâs no longer a threat.â He rubbed his temple and let out a sharp sigh. Normally laid back, at least on the surface, it was rare for Ollie to be so frustrated. Between VIGILANTE and his personal life, he felt like he was fraying at the edges. âIâm going to order a pizza. We need food.â // @runningwildes
