OK this is probably worth highlighting for anyone in the UK today.
I don't actually have a Bluesky account but this morning I noticed that the trending widget on that site now shows full headlines instead of keywords and the topmost is currently a claim that Nigel 'Frogface' Farage of the Reform Party has won the Clacton by-election that he called as a publicity stunt.
This is improbable not because it's necessarily an unlikely outcome but because polling opened less than half an hour ago at time of me posting this.
I don't know what's up (though I have one or two suspicions). But it's blatant misinformation and should be ignored. Polls will be open until 10PM tonight (13 August); any claims made about who won before that are pure speculation.
