#(bonding time!!)

Normally, Todd wasn’t one to go to his neighbors unless he really needed something, and his parents weren’t being very helpful. Even less common, was Todd making a visit to Nny’s home.

Most of the time, his friend would come to his home, and most of the time uninvited too.

It was definitely a long shot, he knew how the other could be, and there was a big risk of the guy being kind of... Unstable in public.

But he wasn’t sure who else to ask. He... Didn’t have anyone else.

So as he approached the torn down home, his eyes went up to the doorbell, too high for him to reach. He gave a nervous look at this, and decided to knock instead.

As the door was opened, Todd shifted on his feet sheepishly, and hugged his bear close to his chest like a security blanket.

"... And that, my dear, is how I married the Doctor - do not recommend doing it that way, he never even provided a wedding cake." River rested her head back against the sofa, legs crossed at the ankle and propped on the coffee table. "Maybe it's time I pester him into buying cake - what do you think?"

She was rather offended there hadn't been cake at any point after - but River also asked because maybe Ruby wanted cake after all that came with traveling with the Doctor.

A nice, sugar induced break.

A step away from the stress, because as much as she too loved to travel with her spouse and go on adventures, it never made it less stressful. Especially for the younger ones who were still finding their way in the world, the universe.

And the Doctor didn't always understand that, never grasped how others had limits sometimes.

"Okay, before annoying him for cake - how are you? Really, not just the typical answer you give when you're asked."
