#if feel no one loves me for who i really am but i don't even try to show my true self to anyone so who is there to blame if not me #everyone knows the version of me they see. the one i let them see. but what about *me*. what about that version of me i don't let anyone se #what am i even hiding anyways idek why tf i'm so scared to show myself why tf can't i just talk about the things i like with the people #around me #like. i don't think a single person around me can name one (1) of my interest and yk why? bc i never talk about them #it's that simple #and i hate that i KNOW. i hate that i know i'm the problem but i still don't do anything about it bc i'm scared #of what? i wish i knew #i always listen when people talk about their interest and i don't mind at all. even if i don't really care or understand what they say #it's always nice to see people talking about the stuff they love #but people around me always like 'normal' stuff #all of them listen to the same music and have similar/popular interests and wherever they go they'll always find someone who shares it #but not me #i had to be different. i've always been.#and different is beautiful but it's also HARD #bc wherever i go i never find anyone who likes the same stuff as i do none listens to the 'weird' music i listen to no one watches the same #- stuff i watch no one wants to do what i like doing when we go out #and believe me. i don't want to change any of those things about myself i wouldn't change my music taste or anythin like that just to fit i #but it's just that no one CARES #and when i know no one will care if i speak i just... don't #when i'm with people and they tell everyone 'just add songs to the queue. whatever you want' i will always refuse the offer #or just add smth i know people will like instead of smth *i* like #just answering with 'just put whatever idc i listen to everything'#bc it's true yeah i listen to a lot of stuff but i god i fucking HATE 99% of the songs they play but i would never say anything about it #i just wished i could just Not Care #i wish i could show my interests to the world without giving a fuck if they care about it #fuck i even change my fucking lockscreen (a JO pic) when i go out with friends just so they don't ask me who they are #and i feel fucking horrible every time bc it looks like i'm ashamed of being a fan or smth when in reality i just don't wanna draw attentio #i don't want people asking me about it or being like 'why tf do you listen to music in slovenian? 🤨' (which they already have)#i want people to care but i don't want to share so my conclusion here is that my brain's fucking stupid (& i hit tag limit so i'll shut up)

specialized education and gifted children programs are so fucked up I see the purpose but the execution and expectations are genuinely horrific I've yet to meet a single one of us that's doing okay besides from those who just reached their breaking point and chose to stop caring

#gifted kid burnout #It's so fucked up the emotional stress levels we're normalizing and the expectations to do the best and be the best when everyone #Has been told they're the best and special #Middle school high school college etc should be learning times yes and expose you to new things #The opportunities provided are wonderful and its really cool how many programs you can have access to #But the competition and stress shoved into a relatively short time period isn't productive for helping kids learn and try new things #Especially since they're expected to be a fully functioning adult afterwords with little to no prioritization of information #That could help with that transition #I'm very frustrated with the American education system I don't know enough about other countries education to comment on theirs #Cue rambles #ESPECIALLY NEURODIVERGENT PEOPLE OH MY GOD #I would like to say something about that but I want to do more research on that besides from me just speaking from experience and people #Around me
