🌼 (it's not a real flower she conjured it but it's PRETTY) -faernn
It was big and red (naturally) and perched on her head; Iswen caught glimpses of it when she turned her head fast enough, the nearly-translucent petals fluttering with the movement quite realistically. But when she tried to absently brush it out of her eyes, the way she’d brush stray hairs from her braid, her fingers went through it with a shimmer and a little tingle of energy.
She knew better than to ask why. The only answer she’d get - if she got any straight answer at all and not a toss of silvery hair - was that Kendrial had felt like it. “It does go with gray,” she said reflectively. “Maybe the other Doomguides will take notice and start a general trend towards colors.”
She’d missed wearing colors; the prohibition itself might deal only with vestments, but she’d become resigned to the fact that there was no point in wearing anything more colorful that would just get blood, puss, mud, or slime over it with no good way to wash it.
