Embarrassment faded at the sound of Safay's laughter. He didn't seem like the type to hide his judgement of a blond fool with questionable dreams. As he was carried, Lux let out a theatrical sigh. "Be gentle with the blushing bride. A wedding night should be magical for the both of us after all."
The roll of his eyes was automatic. Honestly, he should have dumped Lux where he stood. Except for the fact that the nearest dorm was mere steps away. Even so, Safay warned almost believably, “I will put you back up on those vending machines, so help me.”
Realistically, he’d been left to an empty facility with a few handfuls of MTs and a whole lot of nothing to do. Nearly anything would have been more entertaining. A ridiculously odd (and somehow slightly endearing) stranger was above and beyond. “I’ll roll you onto a cot rather than drop you. How’s that?”
