Yes, he could’ve cut her in half, but that’s far too mellow of a punishment. Not only that, but because Krul is a traitor, she must be brought before other vampires to be punished, so that there are witnesses to see what would hapen if anyone else dares to step out of line.”

“I mean after all, he ordered for them to be subjected to sunlight torture. Even at most, I thought that the worst they can get was to be deprived of blood and isolated from everyone else. Oh, but Ferid already beat us to the punch. Depriving dear Krul of blood, then cementing her to a wall and isolated. How clever of him.”

“Sunlight torture calls to punish the worst of crimes. What Krul has done, to the public eye, is simply failing to uphold her duties and keep control over Japan. Losing to the humans is a devastating defeat, and utter humiliation to our race. However, what really topped it off was the fact that, well, what Ferid Bathory had announced: That she was working with the humans and delving her hands into the forbidden arts of the Seraph of the End. Now that was completely unforgiveable.”

“However, I would say in some ways, I would agree that Lord Geales is a ‘father figure’. The reason he called for drastic measures and coming to Japan was to, well, protect the rest of the world from further destruction, as well as rescue the remnants of vampires left under Krul’s unreliable rule. They were only following orders and serving their Queen, it wasn’t their fault nor did they have any knowledge of her crimes. That, Lord Geales saw enough in to spare them. Though he may be a superior, authoritive figure among the vampires, the primary goal in his mind–that I’d like to think is–is to maintain peace and balance among both races.”

“Unfortunately, due to my…unfathomable nature and what kind of person I am, the one thing I desire from Lord Geales is simply…either to surpass him and take his place in being the most powerful vampire among all, even if it means one of us has to die; or, if anyone beats me to the punch, whether or not if Lord Geales needs help, I will fight and defend him with my very life.”
