It isn’t the first time he’s put his patrol on HOLD to pick up Oliver Queen. It isn’t the first time PICKING UP Oliver Queen has involved sitting on the hood of his car instead of taking him to the station. And it wouldn’t be the first time by the end of the night he’d give the man some money for just sitting with him. “We gotta stop MEETING like this,” he teases, shaking his head in minor disappointment. “Y’know, ONE of these days, we’re gonna get a call about you and I WON’T be the cop who comes to check you out. I can’t help you if you get yourself arrested.”

It’s a MIRACLE how Oliver Queen manages to appear put-together in the face of extreme stress. Adrian doesn’t understand the man’s RESILIENCE, personally. It seems easier to break under the pressure (not that HE would) and it’s a miracle that Oliver stands as tall as he does. “I don’t know,” he half-argues, smirk as in place as ever. “Oliver’s got a habit of making it out of these situations without EMBARRASSING himself too much. It’ll be one hell of a show though.”
