it's very interesting where the lines are drawn for people though and this interaction really showcases that, and reinforces q!bad's idea that he's the only one willing to do everything to get their kids back... but q!bad draws the line at the eggs (he did push it once with leo's room but he didn't touch anything that wasn't workbenches, which i think changes things in his mind). he'll torture and kidnap, yes, but he wouldn't say "i have information about your kid" because to *him* that's the height of cruelty. q!forever is coming at this from a place of desperation, and trying to *help* q!bad and using that was a last ditch effort to help... bad execution, sure, but good intentions. to q!bad? this was... a blow, that i imagine will narratively have repercussions.
