She's holding a sign up that says 'I See Skiploom in every Nightmare'.
"You know, out of every Champion that has made their mark in the world and had put in all of their effort to showcase their pokemon's incredible strength- neither of them are as cool as my Metagross." Facts!!
Giving a trainer's pokemon their own personalities that kind of reflect how their trainer has treated them has been one of my favorite things to explore with my pokemon muses (both canon and au) because it really shows other people how different and influenced someone can be by how their own pokemon act.
I'd like to think of Steven's pokemon in this case as being friendlier, easily approachable, cares about being polished and primmed (especially Metagross) and having no chill when it comes to battling (since they're incredibly strong, raised by the guy with rocks in his pockets himself)
Compared to, let's say Professor Sada's pokemon who act upon sheer primitive instinct. Less silly, and more cunning, almost predator-like due to being zipped from a far off ancient past. Especially her Koraidon, who CAN get incredibly aggressive with others he deems as an obstacle or 'challenging'. Territorial, definitely, and less used to being 'social' and more 'untameable' aside from herself.
I really should make a small post about their personalities but because I don't do it that often I don't really NEED to, but it's something fun that I think about often when I want two muses to interact but have no reason for it yet (the pokemon can do the work first, then the trainers can follow suit)
Picks up a rock.
Picks up a rock?
Picks up a rock-!!
Hauls a whole BOULDER onto their shoulder.

Hiruko, guess what that means!?
FISH
"What... is that supposed to mean someth-"
CRACK-!
Swipes the fish away and runs away with it! HIS food now!
My favorite thing about ORAS is not only did they establish that Steven does meet Latios / Latias during the story, but i'd like to think that he helps them in a way where he's aware of how sought-after they are. Local wandering geologist yapping to anyone and anything while genuinely caring about their well-being :sobbing:
