He was supposed to meet with a famous information broker from the New Federation, but the first thing he saw upon entering the meeting room was a very pink little girl and her flying toys- no, forte? Could it be that… he entered the wrong room? He would’ve taken a step back to check the door, but then he remembered there was only one meeting room at the base. The rangers don’t bring their kids to the base, and he was certain he didn’t hear anything about civilians being brought to the base after a TD outbreak. Regardless, he offered a kind smile and greeting to the child. And it was then that he noticed the presence of the information broker, and he was able to connect the dots. He couldn’t say he was expecting the broker to bring their daughter, but he knows that unexpected things happen all the time, and being a parent isn’t easy. “Thank you for agreeing to this meeting. I’m General Jiyan. I have only heard great things about you and your work, but I’ll admit they all failed to mention that you have a lovely daughter. You have a beautiful family.”
Aalto wasnt all that new to Jinzhou, he had helped out around here--and gathered quite the good amount of intel and quick deals, and he could not pass up on the mission he was given to meet up with the newest general, and as per usual encore has come right along with the informant - she was happy to be just along for the ride playing with her little sheep friends while they waited.
Both consultants heads turned when the meeting door finally opened ,both of the shores members a bit surprised - they didn't expect the general to look so young, or rather aalto didn't expect them to look about the same age but he wasn't going to question it.
However when jiyan finally approached him, his comment made aalto now feel a bit older--though it wasnt anything new for people to assume encore is his kid (and in those cases for work he'd go along with it) buttt not this time.
"yes aha..pleasures all mine-,names aalto ,consultant and information broker,glad to see my reputation proceeds me" he gives jiyan a sly grin,before gesturing over to encore who gave a little waved "and this is encore,another consultant she and I usually team up together..however Im not her dad" a pause glancing at her as she let out a little snicker .
"--or her uncle just one of her legal guardians currently-don't worry its not the first time someone's made that assumption" he wasnt going to hear the end of this later,not if encore had anything to say about it.
