Bethany couldn’t believe the words coming out of his mouth right now, all she could do was shake her head. Holding back all the hurt she was feeling. “No, I don’t. I waited all that time and you think I want to lose you now?” Her voice was weak with sadness and she looked down, “I just want you to care a little more, that’s all. I don’t want to lose you, I want you to care.” Bethany didn’t know how to get him to care as much as she wanted, it hurt to think he couldn’t. What was it about her? The quiet set in and she had to leave the room, leave him there to think about what she said so she could have her own time. Not knowing what that meant for them broke her into a million pieces and she didn’t know if she’d be able to pick herself back up as quickly as she normally could, this wasn’t like before. She cared far too much.

She realized then that’s why she needed to turn around, it wasn’t until she looked up half way down the hall that she saw him coming her way. Joy wiped her tears off her face. “I’m sorry, and I don’t want to break up. I just want to feel important, I guess.” Her head rested against him and her eyes closed.

Joy: Yeah, true. But roses are basically my favorite of all time because I love that they just pull me in. When I walk in a store they're the first thing I see, and I'll be walking and I'll spot them first. I don't recall ever seeing that place. It sounds nice though. Where is it? Stop winking at me. :o
