"You know what? I think we should get a pet."
This, naturally, was something that Sheik had said before, but he still thought that it was true. After all, what wasn't there to like about getting a pet? He honestly couldn't care less what kind of animal it was (though, he was quite partial to cats); he simply thought that it might be a good idea. Animals were nice, and he'd always wanted a pet of some sort, thought he never had one when he was a child. (His family had been too busy with work and the like, and said that an animal would be too much extra responsibility, and would distract him from his studies.)
"What do you think?" A glance was tossed at his best friend and roommate, the blond arching an eyebrow as he stretched himself out over the sofa, feet going off one end of it. "Could be a cat, dog, rabbit, whatever. Even a bat--" No, that last one was a joke (though, part of Sheik did think that a bat for a pet could be interesting). "...Or maybe a bird?" Now he was more or less talking to himself, a considering look dressing tanned features. "Though, some people say birds are too loud..."
A sigh escaped him, and he stretched slightly, the action almost reminiscent of a cat. "Opinion?" he asked, head tilting ever so slightly to the side while he glanced at Lan Fan. Really, he would've been okay with most any kind of pet (except fish; he'd never really understood why people wanted fish for a bit. They didn't really do anything except for swim around and eat). The real question, though, was if Lan Fan would agree with his little plan. Probably not, but hey; it was worth a shot, even though he was really more or less simply kidding.
