By Ken James: This is why I always keep a good Zoom lens on my camera. You might just randomly see a castle in the middle of the lake :). What is this my 500th picture of Crater Lake lol

By Ken James: I'm a huge fan of randomness. So when I found a random huge rock sprouting out of the mountain with a random single tree sprouting out of that rock, I had to send the drone up to capture it.

By Ken James: This was another one of those days where I was apprehensive to go out because it was just cold and rainy. If there's any advice I could give newbies, it would be to not look for perfect conditions, push through it, and go out anyway. I've never regretted going out to photograph, but I have definitely regretted not going out, like when the clouds break and you see a burner sunset, but by then, it's too late.

Ken sometimes get asked why his photo descriptions are so long.
Since AI is apparently getting better at emulating real photography, Ken decided to put the story behind most of his photos, location, and why he took the shot.
This one is from Sequoia NP and the thing that struck him was the gloomy eerie feeling as he was leaving the park. Nobody was around, so he stopped and hung his phone out the window to capture this.

By Ken James: This is by far the longest stretch of road Ken have ever seen. It really does make you realize how small you are in the grand scheme of things, but it doesn't make you feel insignificant, if that makes any sense?
Btw it was 128 degrees this day, I can totally see where someone could quickly run into problems at Death Valley.

By Ken James: Yosemite is one of the most photographed parks in the world for good reason. Whenever I go to a place like this, the only thing on my mind is finding a unique shot. I loved the way the sun was hitting the dirt in the river and giving off a bright red glow with the mountain backdrop, and most importantly, I haven't seen this shot yet.
