I still think people misunderstand s1 Sparrow.. sorry but that kid wasn’t just DONE being a menace to society, he was just justifying being a menace under the guise of love. It’s not like he was like ‘oh but father told us not to’ when they ran after Henry in the oakvale arc. He’s not suddenly sweet and respectful- him and Lark ultimately reach the same end through different means. Not always- sometimes Sparrow genuinely is sweeter- I think Lark hating Henry is when he genuinely starts to be a bit kinder and worried. But outside of that?
Lark will do something because he wants to. Sparrow will do something because he wants to as long as he can frame it as love. I think that aspect was pretty lost for s2 obviously, but nevertheless. The only moments I think this can be a bit lost is when Anthony is having to jump between all the different kids in one scene- which, makes sense. But yknow. Idk let him still be a chaotic being. He’s not LESS chaotic- after all he chose the whole love path because he wanted to TURN INTO A WOLF!!! Not because he gained some moral code.
