Timeline.

This is my personal timeline for Swain's biography, based on the canon date of events which can be found in the wiki. Dated based on the Noxian calendar system, with AN= After Noxus and BN= Before Noxus was founded.

946AN — Jericho Swain is born. Noxus is under Darkwill's reign and the Noxian capital is blossoming. It is the prime of nobility & those practicing magic are especially favored by the Emperor.

947AN - 958AN — Childhood. Jericho completes the basic education required of nobleborn.

959AN - 966AN — Adolescence. Most of Jericho's teenage years are spent practicing the dark arts as an untalented but devoted warlock. As he approaches adulthood, he rebels against the House Matriarch for the first time, choosing to enlist himself in the army rather than be wed for House benefit.

967 - 971AN — Freljordian campaign. Jericho's first military endeavor. Albeit originally enrolling for western Valoran, his mother interefered to have him transferred to the Freljordian front as punishment for his disobedience. There he participated in a smaller party executing missions on the Emperor's behalf.

972 - 975AN — Parricide. Jericho returns to Prime after his party disbands. His Matron confronts him about the House future, to which he accepts her offer to stay in Prime and further his education in hopes of earning a commision. During his stay, Jericho begins to unravel the Black Rose conspiracy, lead on by the Pale Lady, until he exposes his own family along with others to the Emperor. He is rewarded with a commission in the Shuriman front.

976 - 983 AN — The Golden Years. Jericho's expedition to the desert yields unprecedented results. He becomes one of the most prominent tacticians in the Empire. His, at times, questionable methods and original thinking grant him infamy among the frontlines. He reaches the peak of his military career and gathers a lot of followers (power) This, inevitably, draws the Emperor's attention. Jericho is called back to Prime, where Boram announces that he has been deployed in the Ionian front.

984 - 986 AN — Ionian war. In a lapse of judgement, Jericho joins the eastern front. His past success had blinded him to the situation. Within 2 years what was left of his trusted veterans from the south has become annihilated by the opposition. Noxus keeps losing battles. They are dramatically outnumbered and famished for resources. Despite the odds, Jericho manages an impressive advance on the Placidium, yet is ultimately defeated by Irelia. He experiences Raum for the first time in a near-death trance, but survives. Whatever is left of his legion returns to Prime in shambles.

987 - 990 AN — Scheming. In the aftermath of his defeat, Jericho, a recluse at the time, becomes obsessed with the Rose conspiracy. The demon gradually makes its presence in his life more prominent. In increasingly desperate attempts to restore himself, he resorts to imbuing the creature in his own skin. It takes him some time to get used to its presence and learn how to manipulate its force.

990 AN — Trifarian revolution ( coup d'etat ) Read 'Proclamation of the Trifarix' for more information.

A hard deadline, no possible extensions to submit a forty page paper. How many late nights had he spent hunched in front of a bright computer screen wearing away at his sanity to make his deadline, 

When his professor had still not released grades- a week late! 

After days of waiting, he’s no longer refreshing the page every five minutes. He waits until the end of the day with low, low hopes to finally be released from this purgatory. 

He opens up the laptop, and takes a sip of the chamomile tea he’d started drinking in the late evenings, and scrolls thorugh his student portal.

He shot up out of his chair so fast he nearly tripped over at, a hand grabbing the table to stay upright. “I GOT IT!” 

Holy shit. He laughed, a hand flying over his mouth as he looked back to the screen, double checking that he hadn’t looked at the wrong thing. “Ha- guys,” He called up the stairs. 

He knew who he’d wanted to tell first though, that he’d passed. There was someone responsible for that, for the fact of him even sticking with school, for making any of it possible. 

He grabbed up his phone to make a call, and as soon as it stopped ringing. 

“-I just got my thesis grade, it’s an A. I just wanted to let you know.” He grinned, closing his eyes, that feeling of excitement and relief crashing over him. 

Abbreviated Timeline: 

Vault Childhood: 2253-2267 [0-14]

Lives in a Canadian Governmental Branch Vault-tec Vault.

Naive Waif; 2267 - 2270 [age 14-17]

Ventures out into the Wasteland, taking jobs as needed.

Slave; 2270 - 2272 [age 17-19]

Captured by Slavers, Mairwen spends two years owned by Scooter.

Buzzcock; 2272 - 2277 [age 19-24]

Joins the Raider group known as the Buzzcocks. Works as a sniper and a scout. Reputation as ‘[the] Jack’ grows as an assassin and “big game” hunter.

The Jack; 2277 - 2281 [age 24-28]

Begins working for the Enclave, Hunting Deathclaws, and works for the Lone Wanderer. 

Continues working as a Merc, Deathclaw Hunter, and Assassin.

The Courier; 2281-2282 [age: 28-29]

[Events of Fallout New Vegas]

Godless & Masterless; 2282- 2286 [age: 29-33]

Takes charge of the Mojave as the Mojave’s War Lord.

Headed Home; 2286+ [age: 33+]

Heads East for “Vacation”. Hears news of someone from her vault doing advanced Recon. Follows the rumours to the Boston Commonwealth.

Thomas finds out that his wife cheated on him years ago and that the result of that affair is Eric

he slaps his son across the face for the first time just because the boy called him ‘Dad’; he can’t stand being called that anymore, and whenever he looks at Eric he is reminded of his wife’s betrayal and sees Eric’s biological father in him

Eric’s parents fight constantly, nearly every day, for weeks - though he has no idea what the fights are about because he usually leaves the house once he notices his parents raising their voices again

Eric is confused because of the sudden change of demeanor in the house: his mother ignores him, and his father shoots him glares as if he was the devil himself

1981 - 1989

Eric is born Eric Franklin Brandon on 15 April 1981 in Dachau, a town in Bavaria, Germany, to his parents Melinda and Thomas Brandon (Melinda originally is from Germany, but moved to Ireland with her parents when she was younger, where she met Thomas; together they moved back to Germany again before Eric’s birth)

his childhood is a good one; his parents are kind and protective and he has quite a lot of friends in kindergarden and elementary school

1990

his parents decide to move back to Ireland when Eric is barely nine years old; they still spend Christmas in Germany with the entire family before they move to New Inn, Co. Galway

things change drastically for the boy: he has to learn a new language and has trouble in school due to it; he doesn’t understand the easiest of tasks in subjects he used to be good in because of the language barrier the other kids don’t like him because he ‘has a funny accent’; they start calling him Adolf and bully him

it reaches its peak when the others hunt him through town and beat him up on the street, then try to force him to drink dirty water from a puddle on the ground - a man interfers and takes care of Eric; little does he know that this man is Ian Harris, his biological father and later mentor

Ian and Melinda reconcile and Ian learns that Eric is his son

1991 - 1993

Eric sill hasn’t found friends; the other boys keep bullying him and teachers are little interested in caring

his mother isn’t in contact with Ian, but it tears her apart that the past has caught up with her; she is struggling with herself - tell Thomas the truth or keep it a dark secret?

It looks more like a resort than any hospital gabriel’s ever seen. his head turns quick as someone who looks his age swivels around and past him on a penny-board. 

the california sun is aggressive enough to squint against as he lugs his duffel bag with him along the path, and into the modern, wide-windowed building. 

if josh signed me up for some kind of Scient.ologist retreat as a joke then..  it’s a pretty fucking hilarious one. 

but no, he didn’t think the parent would do that now. even if the timing was shockingly awfully perfect. the lobby smells like a rainforest, a falling water fixture streams down the wall behind the desk. 

      “Gabriel.” 

He turns to face a pleasant smiling woman, the kind of expression that reminds him of a past caseworker and makes him cringe internally. “Uh. Yup, yeah.” 

Could he do it, disappoint Gianni and his agency and Carmen again, and ever find work after that?

Maybe Gabriel could say that he’d suddenly gotten sick, or- a family emergency cropped up. Even if that one was a lie, there would probably be one soon anyway. 

But the flights were, already booked. Already paid for by people other than him, and it was a short job. All he had to do was keep it together in front of so many people and cameras for, two days?
