This is Janessa Kehoe - Jaime’s sister. I am writing to inform you of my sister’s health following the recent events at your Academy.Â
Jaime suffered an epidural hematoma to the right side of her head in addition to a handful of crush injuries on her legs and lower back, mostly noticeably a broken a bone in her right foot. She was, as I’m sure you know, transferred from Seabrook ER to Tufts Medical Center in Boston. She underwent brain surgery to evacuate the hematoma and thankfully came through with flying colors.
The doctors are monitoring her closely and while she has been doing well, there is a slight side effect from the surgery that warrants this e-mail beyond a general update to your employee’s health and whereabouts.
Jaime is suffering from memory loss, though the doctor’s assure me it should only be temporary, due to some slight swelling in her brain around the area where they had to operate. She believes it is the year 2016, the month of November. She is on medication to relieve the swelling in her brain and they anticipate it should not be long before that recedes and her memory returns.
If all goes well, she will be released into my care within three days time. She will remain in Boston with me for at least another week on top of that, perhaps longer depending upon what the surgeon says at her post-op appointment.Â
I will keep you updated, and when her memory returns I am sure she will as well.
For what it’s worth - I am sorry this happened to your Academy. It was a senseless act of violence that no one there deserved.
