and so the beginning of it all was finally here. his first performance as a proper trainee had descended upon on him, and it was daunting to say the least. was he even good enough for this? was it just the afterglow of the mgas being ridden on? he couldn’t tell what the truth was, all he knew was that he was extremely nervous for this. he could do it though, he knew he could. 

he had minhee by his side after all, and she was a wonderful sunbae to practice with. she seemed to know what she was doing more than he did. she came from similar intentions if he wasn’t mistaken, too. from what he knew, she hadn’t intended to become a trainee and eventual idol, her sights had been set elsewhere. he hadn’t intended to become an idol either, it just... sort of happened to start going that way. he and minhee had a lot in common. 

he looks to her, hoping he didn’t look too awful. “so? is there something specific i should fix maybe?” probably, almost certainly, there was. 

the good thing about this party was that there were trainees from the other companies here as well, which meant a buttload of her friends were all here. wendy, sehun, yubin, and of course minhee. ah, her beloved minhee unnie. they went back so far, and had a lot of the easy, hobby like stuff in common. minhee was also someone to look up to for her. she had been there through shiah’s transition from fake into genuine and stuck by her the whole time. she was a treasure in shiah’s life, so of course when she spotted the gorgeous girl at the party, she had to go over and say hi.

“unnie!” she was grinning ear to ear as she went over, throwing her arms around the elder girl. “ah, i’m so happy to see you here!” she pulled back from the hug only to take the other woman’s hands in her own. “i feel like i don’t see enough of you! ah, you look so pretty~ but you always look pretty. you look younger than me, you’ll have to tell me your secret~” she scrunched her shoulders up with her smile. this was so nice, she wished they could have a party like this every month. “you have to tell me everything you’ve been up to! i want to hear it all~”

they had worked incredibly hard on the scene, and though it had been a lot of work, it had been fun as well, since she had finally gotten the chance to work with minhee. she felt very blessed to have minhee as a partner for the evaluation, since she had been a big help and had taken care of shiah so well. they hadn’t been able to see each other much, but after doing this scene together shiah wasn’t even a little worried about their friendship - it was like all of that time apart had never happened. it was fortunate too, since she was able to use their closeness for the ‘pretending’ part of the scene. being close and comfortable with minhee came naturally. the hard part was pretending not to like her.

junmyeon had never done anything like this before. he took pictures for instagram, he tweeted, sometimes he livestreamed on twitch, but he had never done a youtube video collaboration before. friend of a friend knew her, knew him, and set this up, since he had a bunch of social media followers and she had fun ideas for videos to do. they would both win, even though junmyeon’s priority wasn’t having a presence online, he was focusing on school and becoming an engineer like he promised dear daddy that he would. still... it couldn’t hurt, right? 

he wanted to surprise his little darling of a cousin (despite her being older than him) by stopping by with a shipment of his mothers most famous kimchi jiggae. the recipe was beloved by all in his family on both sides, and what better way to greet the girl that always chided him than with some delicious eats? he headed up the steps and into the building, heading straight for the door to her place. he wore a bright grin as he knocked on the door, waiting for her to answer.

“noona!” he exclaims upon seeing her, wrapping an arm around her affectionately before stepping inside. he slides his shoes off and immediately heads to the kitchen. “special delivery! kimchi jiggae straight from mama’s kitchen. hope you’re hungry!” he grins almost stupidly at her before going in for another hug. “i feel like it never see you anymore! how have you been?”

okay, so this wasn’t the smartest decision in the world, and if found out he could get in trouble along with minhee, but right now he wasn’t all too concerned about repercussions. right now, he had some yummy snacks, pleasant company, and a nice view of the city, or at least this part of the city. it was after regular training hours, so it couldn’t be too bad, right? 

he had pulled a sneaky move and gone up to the roof of the sphere building with minhee after gathering a bunch of snacks from the convenience store (which was probably the worst part of it all, not the roof part. diets, right?) and now, they were feasting in style. at least june liked to think this was style. maybe he was deluding himself into thinking this was cool so he could feel better about the funk he was in, because he was indeed in a funk and felt like he wasn’t going anywhere he wanted to at the moment. “do you ever feel like you don’t belong, noona?” it was a vulnerable question to ask, but he was curious, and a little desperate not to be alone in this feeling he was having. 

November Of The Eleventh Day, pepero day. 

The day to make everyone feel loved and appreciated by simple sweet gift. The night before she made groups of bonobono pepero sticks for her friends and the sphere trainees, staff members, convex too. The female walked around the sphere, searching for each sphere to give them one of this pepero as a gift for working so hard and still being here. Minhee still recalls the ones who left and went on with her life, it does sadden her especially if they were close or work together often but that’s life after all. It is important to spread positivity around doing a good deed no matter how small could brighten someone day. 

“Happy Pepero Day! Feel the love & have an amazing day…well at least try to even though the schedules can be tough-” she chirped happily trying to be nice to everyone.

he wasn’t expecting a gift on peppero day, but with minhee he should’ve known. she was as sweet as could be, a very caring noona and sunbae, so of course, if anyone were to hand gifts out, especially handmade ones, it would be her. when he receives his he smiles gratefully, bowing as he takes it and looks the treat over. “thank you noona, this looks so good~ i appreciate it.” a pang of guilt hits him when he realizes he has nothing to offer her in return, his expression falling a bit. “ah, i’m sorry, i didn’t make anything or buy any for anyone. maybe we could hang out after practice? i’ll treat you! promise.” he smiles hopefully, maybe she’ll accept the offer so he won’t feel bad about having nothing to give her in return.
