“For now...” Despite his reassurances, Bloo needed to hear the familiar beat of his heart. He had been gone for too long, longer than he’d promised before, and, while she understood, it didn’t stop her from worrying over it. The stress had actually made her sick and, for one of the first times in her recent memory, she’d had to take a sick day.
Her arms finally loosened but that was only so that she could grab one of his hands to tug him behind her. Like hell was she letting him go again anytime soon.
