Colours of Sound is a short documentary aiming to highlight the individuality of Synaesthesia. Over the course of two weeks, we provided two London-based Synaesthete artists with the same musical composition and gave them the opportunity to express their synaesthesia-induced thoughts. Supplying them each with a blank canvas and a selection of acrylic paints, they opened our eyes to another reality of seeing.

Dr Ng Kai Er had to serve a bond of eight years with the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*) for taking up a fully sponsored scholarship that covered her to her doctorate. Unfortunately, this bond meant that she was able to pursue her interest in dance full time. Her latest controversial act of defiance was starting the No* Arts Grant, initially called the A* Arts Grant, in November 2014. This documentary film gives an insight into the life of controversial A*Scholar and theatre practitioner and how her life has changed with all the negative media attention she has received. 

Behind The Arts is a documentary Project that looks into the struggling arts scene in Singapore and artists who are a part of it to help make it grow. There are possibilities to love and live in this scene and we hope that our Project can show that.

Wiing Liu PeiYing, is a dance choreographer, who is a NAFA graduate in the Diploma of Dance and Choregraphy, and goes back to her alma mater to teach for a living. Recently, many of the works are done for free with no pay for her and the dancers and she continues to find ways to reach her dreams for choreographing as a job. Being a recipient of Kai's No Star Arts Grants has really helped her push through a tough time in her life and perhaps even fine some means to continue her journey of choreographing again.
