👀 He's clearly uncomfortable as he joins her on the sofa, shifting to pull a small box from his coat pocket. There's a long.. long pause before Jotaro turns to her and offers her the box. "Things.. between your mother and I are mending. We want to make it work again." Another.. pause. "But I wanted to ask you properly. If you'll.. accept me back.. as your father." Inside the box she'd find a silver bracelet embellished with a butterfly, wings constructed from aquamarine gems. [delinquentmutt]
Remote in her hand, she presses the power button. However, before she could leave and go back to her room, her attention is caught by the man she had spent so long hating. No, that part was a lie. She never hated him, she hated how she thought he felt towards her. That he had hated her. She was expecting him to tell her that he was leaving again, and for a moment she felt the disappointment well up in her. How often had they gone through this familiar song and dance, of him standing in the doorway and joining her in whatever room she was in, just to tell her he was leaving for years again? She bit the inside of her cheek, ready to throw insults she hadn’t used in so long at him. To tell him that she knew it was coming again.
Her eyes widened, though. Her father and mother… She mentally kicked herself for thinking that he was about to hurt her once again, and in a way she felt relieved that she was wrong. She had just gotten used to having him around again, the idea of him being gone now would hurt even more. Her breath caught in her throat when she looked at the bracelet, and for a moment she forgot how to speak. Perhaps outsiders would see it as him trying to buy her affections, but she knew otherwise. She swallowed, and reached for the bracelet, before slipping it on her wrist and admiring it. Her shoulders shook a bit, and she felt her emotions welling up. “Idiot… I never stopped thinking of you as my father.. Of course I will–”
