“Well, since you asked so nicely.” They shot a nervous glance outside the window, then jerked their head towards the door opposite. “I suppose I can make an exception - but not here.” There was medical supplies in the closet the former Royal Protector (oh yes, Rowan remembered that mask) was shoved into, and if he still fancied letting the alchemist have a go at his wounds later, Rowan would be willing to offer aid, but for the time being, there were angry thugs pounding up the stairs towards their office. That needed to be addressed, first. It was not uncommon to have … altercations with the Grand Guard on occasion. Luca Abele let his dogs run mad, and sometimes (sometimes), it was hard to keep their teeth to themselves when a power mad guard came at them swinging. When the soldiers would come kicking their door down, it would not be the red-coated doctor they found, but the howling Void itself.
He nods once, in agreement, and lets the doctor herd him into a closet -- at least it’s not too cramped, and he’s hidden in worse places. His wounded side aches, and he leans against the door, trying to shift to see through the keyhole without aggravating his injuries.
His jaw drops slightly in surprise and awe at the creature of the Void the doctor seems to shift and blur into -- he’s never seen something like that, and he likes to think he’s seen a fair bit more than most in regards to the Void and what it can do. Then again...he’s never seen Delilah’s like before, either. So perhaps he’s not as informed as he’d like to think.
But that just means the doctor is marked, too -- no one without such a thing could do something like that. He wonders if they know who he is, or at least that he’s marked as well. It isn’t like his mask isn’t recognizable, but usually only inside Dunwall itself. But the doctor doesn’t look like a native...
His thoughts start circling in a bit of a haze, and he shakes himself off -- he wishes he hadn’t drank his last vial of elixir a few hours ago. That would have been a great help. But no, he’s out of luck, as he so often tends to be. He’ll have to wait until the Guards are routed and let the doctor see to him properly. He’ll likely regret it if he doesn’t.
