Starting Over

Ed couldnât help but grin at the familiar words, delivered in that familiar half-asleep slurred, thick voice. He leant into the kiss happily, pulling his ex-husband snug against him, the sheets rustling with the movement. âOr you could learn to close them properly.â He replied, still grinning as he pulled back from the kiss. âBut then you wouldnât be you, and I canât have that...â
He trailed light kisses along Killianâs neck to his shoulder, enjoying this rare moment of peace that was solely theirs. âSo, how much longer do you think we have?â He murmured, lifting his head to listen closely to the house beyond their bedroom door. He couldnât hear the boys stirring yet - if he was awake, William would be nose-deep in a book already - but there was the faintest hint of movement from Anneâs room.Â
âIâm predicting about five minutes. Maybe less.â He stole another kiss, knowing their time was limited. Anne wouldnât care if she interrupted them. âHey, I was thinking, as itâs the weekend... why donât we go out somewhere, together? Yâknow... first trip out as a family again.â
